Alvin William Hooge, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Monday, July 06,
2020 at the age of 91.
Alvin was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, March 5, 1929. He was a resident of
Picayune, Mississippi for the past twenty-six years and a veteran of the US Army.
He is survived by his son, Christian W. Hooge (Sharon) of Carriere, Mississippi;
one brother, Godfred Hooge of Covington, Louisiana; one sister, Esther Pffeffer of
Harahan, Louisiana; two grandchildren, Ross C. Hooge (Emily) of Long Beach,
Mississippi, and Kristen H. Robinson (Bejay) of Brookhaven, Mississippi.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Ida Hooge; his wife, Yvonne
Lovett Hooge; one brother, Carl Hooge; five sisters, Kathleen James, Thelma
Adams, Helen Manning, Marie Gibson, and Adele Gumpert.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
