Anna Chaplain Guerra, age 77, of Carriere, MS passed away Sunday, September 6, 2009 at LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, LA.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, September 10th at 12 noon at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with Father Mike Snyder officiating. Visitation will be at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on Thursday, September 10th from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Anna was born in New Orleans, LA and moved to Carriere twenty years ago from Slidell, LA. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and actively involved in the St. Joseph Altar Society.
She was the loving wife of 60 years to Alfred P. Guerra, Sr of Carriere ;beloved mother of Paulette (Adolph) Guerra of New Orleans, LA ,Marlene (Augie) Bourgeois of Belle Chase, LA ,Jody (Bob) Fleming of Picayune
,Marcia (Tom) Wilson of Colorado Springs, CO ,Alfred (Marlinda) Guerra, Jr. of Picayune and Janell (Kris) Keller of Picayune ;beloved sister of Bonnie Jacoby of Atlanta, GA ;beloved grandmother of thirteen grandchildren and great-grandmother of nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John M. Chaplain and Annie Molero Chaplain ;brother, John E. Chaplain and sister, Peggy Martinez.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1020 Fifth Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466.
