Anthony Michael Battaglia, aged 50, passed away on August 3, 2024, in Picayune, Mississippi.
Born on August 30, 1973, in Gulfport, Mississippi, Anthony was a cherished member of his community a hard working man, and a loving figure in his family.
Anthony is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Dayna Battaglia; daughters, Katie Battaglia, Korie Battaglia Ritter(Jesse Ritter son in law), and Lucie Battaglia;
granddaughters, Kinsley Ritter and Kassandra “Jade” Jarrow ; sister, Jeanine Battaglia; brothers, Ivan Cobb, Louis Cobb Jr., Charles Battaglia, and Daniel Battaglia; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones all over the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Battaglia Jr. and Glenda Battaglia, and brothers, Bryant Cobb and Joseph Battaglia III.
Anthony was a pillar in his community and a faithful attendee of True Life Church.
Known for his love of family and friends, he initially found it challenging to embrace being a
"girl dad" and "girl papa," but he grew to cherish these roles profoundly.
His hobbies included riding his motorcycle with friends, an activity that brought him great joy and camaraderie.
The visitation and services to honor Anthony's life will be held at Picayune Funeral Home, located at 815 S Haugh Ave, Picayune, MS 39466, on Thursday, August 8, 2024.
Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, followed by services at 7 pm.
