Arlene Wise Langston went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
Arlene was born October 29, 1941, to her parents, Juanita, and Artis Wise. She was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother, and great grandmother. The greatest of these titles is Christian.
She led by example how to treat others. She showed us how to be able to stand on our own two feet, to be responsible, and how to think for ourselves. She led by teaching us the Word of God, taking us to church, and how to pray and lean on God at all times to ask for his help and seek His face.
Her gift in this life was to be a parent. She showed us girls how to be women and our brother how to be a man.
Left to cherish her memories is her daughters Michele Bond and Carla Smith; son Alan Smith; brother Yancy (Donna) Wise; sister-in-law Ruby Wise; grandchildren Ashley Smith Carter, Molly Smith, Amber Smith (Cody) Bartley; great grandchildren Ayden Smith, Adilyn Smith, and Brandi Bartley.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Artis Wise, and Juanita Wise; husband R.V. Langston; brother Nolan Wise; and grandson Justin Ras Deakles.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm at Picayune Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Pine Grove Heavens Helpers at 34 Pine Grove Rd. Picayune Mississippi 39466.
