Belinda Varnado Mitchell Beech, age 71, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away peacefully Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law after having a stroke on her birthday. Belinda was born on March 24, 1947 in Long Island, New York.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at New Palestine Baptist Church with Bro. Josh Braddy officiating. Burial will be at New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Belinda always met you with a smile and loved living life to the fullest. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends. She was an avid bowler and loved dancing and listening to Elvis Presley, especially his gospel music. She had a kind gentle spirit and was a true friend to many. Belinda was a member of New Palestine Church and loved her church family.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Rhonda English (Leland); Grandchildren she adored, Cody Stewart (Megan), Lance Stewart (Rebecca), Cole Stewart, Mark Pidcoe (Dawn), Ashley Pidcoe, Chelsea Mitchell, and Brittany Smith, all of Picayune; great-grandchildren who she loved with her whole heart, Sadie Rae Stewart and Sawyer Kane Stewart; sisters, Marsha Cook (Sonny), and Patti Jo Blocker.
She is preceded in death by her parents William F. Varnado, Sr., and Mary Hart Finch Varnado; a son she loved dearly, William Mark Mitchell; husband Gary "Mike" Beech and brother, William Frank Varnado, Jr.
