Betty Jane Pond, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019, at the age of 77.
Betty was a long-time resident of Picayune. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her grandchildren, watching television shows alongside her husband, and constantly shopping for the best bargain. She was a loving wife, extraordinary grandmother, and a beyond courageous, kind old soul. She touched many hearts, changed many lives, and no matter what she faced kept her kind caring heart. One can not forget someone as amazing as her. She will be deeply missed by many.
She is survived by her husband, Milburn Pond of Picayune, Mississippi; grand-daughters, Cynthia Taylor, Samantha Cagle, and 17 additional grandchildren; great-grandchild, Seth Penton; one son, Evert Stuart; three daughters, Diane Piatt, Kathy Echoff, and Lula Faye;
She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Lorene Burton; two sons, Eugene Stuart and Teddy Stuart.
Visitation will be held 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m.
