Billy Edward Tate of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the age of 88.
Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Billy was a lifelong resident of Picayune, a member of Millcreek Baptist Church and U.S. Army Veteran who served his country in the Korean War. He worked as an Instrumentation Technician in the oil industry.
He is survived by his daughter, Glyndon Toni Tate Lockwood of Picayune, Mississippi; grandchildren, Anna Turnage, Angela Holley, Billy Bales, Melissa Goss, Tyler Tate, Sara Tate, Jessicka Lockwood and Jenna Lockwood; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Eastman Tate and Virginia Dossett Tate; his wife, Margret "Wootsie" Townsend Tate; son, Timothy Edward Tate; daughters, Mary Virginia Tate and Marrietta Gatewood; brothers, Hayward Tate and James Tate; and grandson, Matthew Lockwood.
