Cathleen Ann Powell

Cathleen Ann Powell, 72, of Picayune, MS passed away peacefully on Jan. 28, 2025, at her residence. Services will be a private family affair. Prayers, well wishes, and memories can be sent to shilohgold04@gmail.com .
Born Aug. 30, 1952, in Akron, OH she was the late daughter of Bernard Noaker and Grace Noaker.
For many years she was a stay-at-home mom. After most of her children were grown, she worked for the Plymouth-Canton school district. When she moved to MS, she had several different jobs meeting friends and making connections along the way.
She was an avid reader, crafter, sewer, loved horses her favorite being “Jafar” and her dog “Jake”. She did ceramics and painted many things. She did Christmas decorations, wall art, different sceneries on wood items for her family. Sewing which including making clothes for her family. When she moved to MS in 2009 to be closer to family, she still continued crafting and reading. The Gulf air called to her while going on excursions to see whales and dolphins in the ocean.
She is survived by one brother David, her five children, fifteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Daughter Jennifer (Brian) – Matthew; son Doug (Chrissy) – Kaleb (Ava) – Selah, and Noah; son Nicholas (Tina) – Jamie (Andrew), Ashley, and Jessica; daughter Amy – Ryan (one great-grandchild) Michael (two great-grandchildren), Gail, Maya, Isabella, and Benjamin; daughter Kaitlyn (Josh) – Kinsley, Hunter, and Ella.
