Christopher Robert McNeely, a cherished presence in the lives of many, passed away on Sunday November 3, 2024, at the age of 57, in the comfort of his home in Picayune, Mississippi.
Born on April 21, 1967, in Zanesville, Ohio, Christopher was a man whose life was marked by service, dedication, and an unwavering stoicism balanced by a profound love for those around him.
Christopher's life journey brought him through diverse fields where he made significant contributions. He proudly served in the United States Army, in the 8th Infantry Division, stationed in Baumbholder Germany from 1986 to 1989. Christopher devoted his career to helping others as a Respiratory Therapist for over 30 years, influencing countless lives beyond measure.
He is survived by a loving family who cherished him deeply. His daughter, Cameron McNeely, son, Christopher L. McNeely, and grandson, Matthew Santoni, will continue to draw strength from the legacy he leaves behind. Also mourning his loss is his father, Michael McNeely, his brother, Daniel McNeely, and sister, Kathy Scott, along with multiple nieces and nephews, who remain to celebrate the cherished bonds that united them. Christopher was predeceased by his beloved mother, Ruth McNeely, whose nurturing spirit and guidance significantly influenced his life.
A man of few words but great action, Christopher McNeely will be remembered by family and friends as a strong, caring figure, whose presence brought stability and warmth to all that were fortunate to know him.
To celebrate Christopher's life, a funeral service will be held on Saturday November 9, 2024 at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1000 Goodyear Blvd, Picayune, MS 39466. Visitation begins at 11 a.m., followed by Mass at 12 p.m.
