Claude L. Hendrix

Claude L. Hendrix, age 90, of Picayune passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Highland Community Hospital.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 24th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Carriere Cemetery, with Bro. G. A. McCoy and Bro. Billy Galloway officiating.
Mr. Hendrix, a lifetime resident of the area, was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II, a member and a deacon for many years of First Baptist Church of Ozona.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Hendrix of Picayune ;a son, Raymond David Hendrix of Carriere;three step-sons, Keith Martinez of Picayune ,Kevin Martinez of Picayune and Kent Martinez of Picayune;four daughters, Edna Eastin of Picayune ,Claudia Gower of Carriere ,Karen Sue Billodeaux of Baton Rouge and Charlotte Campbell of Carriere ;a step-daughter, Kathy Bounds of Carriere ;twenty-five grandchildren ,thirty-eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He is preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Levon Hendrix ;a daughter, Cynthia Diane Hendrix ;a granddaughter, Ashley Hendrix ;mother of his children, Hilda Faye Hendrix;a brother, Charles Hendrix
and his parents, Charles and Effie Hendrix.
