Mr. Connie Lee Spiers, 87, of Poplarville, died on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at his residence.
Mr. Spiers was born March 26, 1936 in McNeill, MS. He a veteran of the United States Air Force; a member of First Baptist Church of McNeill; and retired vice president of Hancock Whitney Bank.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Lela Alsobrooks Spiers; one son, Russell Spiers; two sisters, Ruth Smith, Liz Martin; two brothers, Medrid Spiers and Ernest Nathan Spiers.
Family members include his children, Glynda (Wayne) Anderson, Lee (Penny) Spiers, Tommy (Kathy) Spiers, Whitney (Jack) Donnelly; stepchildren, J.T. Burge, Connie Burge Gore; brother, Charles Spiers; fourteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and his companion of sixteen years, Ruth Preston.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church of McNeill on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, Wednesday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to BEAMS Bible Ministry.
