Darlene Marie Goad

Darlene Marie Goad, a beloved homemaker and cherished member of her family, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Picayune, Mississippi. She was born on November 23, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to George and Gertrude Lents, and her enduring spirit and warmth touched the lives of many.

Darlene dedicated her life to her family, and her proudest accomplishment was her marriage of 58 years to the love of her life, Bobby Goad. Together, they navigated life's journey, building a foundation of love and support that their family continues to cherish.

She is survived by her sons, Ronald Goad and Dewayne Goad (Jenny), as well as her daughters, Lisa Coig (Larry) and Kimberly Thorpe (Coleman). Darlene also leaves behind her stepdaughter, Dawn Query (Zac), and her sister, Pamela Ruble. Her legacy will live on through her 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and happiness.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lawrence Goad; her parents, George and Gertrude Lents; her brother, Kevin Lents; and her sister, Cherie Sanders.

Darlene Marie Goad will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and her unwavering dedication to creating a nurturing home. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and unity in her family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
