Deborah Virginia Breaux Hollingsworth, born on November 7, 1954, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on October 26, 2024, in Carriere, Mississippi.
She was the beloved daughter of Charles Whaley Breaux Jr. and Joan (Sicard) Breaux and was the second eldest of six siblings in a family with a deep-rooted love for the New Orleans Saints. In 1974, Deborah married the love of her life, Sam Hollingsworth, and together they welcomed five children. A devoted wife, mother, and MawMaw, she dedicated her life to her family, filling her role as a homemaker with boundless love and creativity. She was also lovingly called the “queen of rig” and had an extraordinary knack for creating or fixing anything with whatever materials were at hand.
Her Catholic faith was the foundation of her life, and as a devoted parishioner, she served faithfully as a eucharistic minister and contributed to her community with a spirit of generosity and love.
Deborah is survived by her cherished husband, Sam, and their five children: Aaron, Mary (Robin), Sarah (Blake), Joel (Alyssa), and Samuel (Peyton). Her legacy continues through her eight treasured grandchildren, who were the joy of her life: Ethan, Conner, Brianna, Andraya, Liam, Ava, Brennen, and Alex.
