Dennis Barnes, Jr. of Carriere, Mississippi, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 76.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 27074 St. Matthew Church Road, Perkinston, Mississippi. A Memorial Mass will follow at 12:00 p.m. A reception will be held in the church hall after the services for friends and family.
Dennis was a resident of Pearl River County for the past 21 years and was a member of St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church. He was employed as a Long-Shoreman for 34 years.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Barnes of Carriere, Mississippi; his mother, Clareen Sipes; sons, Dennis Barnes (Cherie) of Arabie, Louisiana and David Barnes (Deborah) of Tampa, Florida; daughters, Deborah Koffler of Georgia and Donna Pons (John) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and step-son, Kenneth Pitre (Chemin) of Poplarville, Mississippi; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Barnes.
In lieu of flowers you may make a donation in memory of Dennis to Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Mississippi or to the American Cancer Society.
