Dennis Wayne Points, age 56, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Funeral mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father Noone officiating.
Mr. Points was a resident of Pearl River County for 24 years. He was with the New Orleans Police Department for 20 years in the motorcycle, mounted, search and rescue, and EMT divisions. He also worked at Ingalls shipyard as a pipefitter for 3 years. He was a Mason, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Charmaine Points of Poplarville; two brothers, Joseph Points (Kathleen) of Metairie, Louisiana, and Robert Points (B.J.) of Gonzales, Louisiana; one sister, Jerelyn Sallean of Metairie, Louisiana; nephews, Lawrence Henry White, III, and Robert Joseph White; and many other nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Frank Points and Melba Ayala Points.
