Denny Albert Brown, age 79, was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frank and Lillian Newton.
Denny was an electrician by trade and wired all the churches in Angola. He enjoyed his woodworking and metal working and made beautiful knives. Some of his favorite hobbies were hunting, working out, and his passion was playing pool. Even when his body would not allow him to play anymore, he still played on his phone. Denny was an excellent writer. He not only shared his work with family and friends but was published in magazines. He was a great cook. He had a love for making Dogwood Sandwiches which his daughter states were where her love of sandwiches came from. Outside of his hobbies, he never forgot his friends. He was very involved in AA and the local EPIC program. He kept a bed available in case someone needed a place to stay and had been known to give the hat off his head to a stranger.
Denny is proceeded in death by his father Frank Newton, mother Lillian Ferroni Newton, brother William “Billy” Newton.
He is survived by his son Spencer Brown, daughters Erica Newton, Michelle Constandinou, Denise Segari, nieces Michelle “Missy” Newton, Audra Newton-Haskoor, and Dana Varnado, nephew Billy Newton Jr., 16 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
