Donald Edward Burnette

Donald Edward Burnette, Sr., age 76, of Carriere passed awayThursday, May 8, 2008 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 13th at 2:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Harry Burge and Bro. Brad Miles officiating. Visitation will be at Picayune Funeral Home Monday, May 12th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Burial will be in Lee's Chapel #1 Cemetery.
Donald was a pipe fitter/welder, a member of the Pipefitters Union #72, a U.S. Army Veteran, a Mason, and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
He is survived by three sons, Donald Burnette, Jr., Curtis Glen Burnette, and David Wayne Burnette, Sr., all of Carriere; brother, Leonard Curtis Burnette of Buena Vista, CA; sister, Audrey M. Stone of Carriere; fourteen grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Burnette and two brothers, George Allen Burnette and William Eugene Burnette.
