Donald Edward Smith, age 73, of Picayune passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Jewel Prince officiating. A time of visitation will be Wednesday, April 2nd from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at Picayune Funeral Home.
Mr. Smith, a former resident of New Orleans, LA, worked in administration at Freeport-Mack-Moran, was a U.S. Army veteran and a Methodist. He was a cowboy, an avid bowler and active in the East Jefferson High School Alumni Association.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Markey Smith of Picayune; step-son, Jacomine Philip Markey of Chalmette, LA; step-daughter, Kimberlyn Ann Markey of Slidell, LA; two brothers, William F. Smith and wife, Margie, of Fayetteville, GA and Alvin L. Smith and wife, Jeanette, of Fresno, CA; andsister, Judy Smith Egloff and husband, John Mark, of Gettysburg, PA.
