Dr. Kathleen Mitchell of Carriere, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the age of 77.
Kathleen was a longtime resident of Pearl River County and a member of The Disciples of Christ Church in Slidell, Louisiana. She obtained her Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate Degree from LSU and was a member of Signa Theta Tau. Kathleen was also a Clinical Nurse Specialist, a Nurse Practitioner, and taught nursing for twenty years at William Carey College. She enjoyed school and loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her wife, Cynthia Tuggle of Carriere; daughters, Mary Ann Hart (Paul) of Austin, Texas and Margaret Ann Wetzel of Slidell, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Darlene Mitchell; grandchildren, Preston Edward Wetzel, Andrew David Wetzel, Talon Kinler, Zach Hart and Ashley Hart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, David Mitchell and Louisa "Mickey" Mitchell; brother, Wallace K. Mitchell.
A private service was held by family.
