Lois Chiasson Stansbury
January 2, 1945 — June 2, 2016
Dr. Lois Chiasson-Stansbury, age 71, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Thursday, June 2, 2016.
Visitation will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic church on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. with a memorial service following at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Dr. Stansbury was a Guidance Counselor at Belle Chase Middle School and went into private practice and then was a principal at Annunciation Catholic School in Bogalusa.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Stansbury of Carriere; one son, Roland Adam Savoie, Jr. of Gretna, Louisiana; one daughter, Melissa Kathryn Savoie of Westwego, Louisiana; one sister, Belinda Helmer of Gretna, Louisiana; three brothers, Robert Busby, Marrero, Louisiana, Brian LeJeune of Gretna, Louisiana, and Dwight Busby of Woolmarket, Mississippi; one grandchild, Juolie Angelle Savoie; sister-in-law, Inez Chiasson of Marrero, Louisiana; and nieces Michelle Helmer and Raquel Helmer of Gretna, Louisiana.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Adam Mack Chiasson and Una Kraemer Busby; and one brother Dave Chiasson.
