Emily Lou Clay

Emily Lou Clay, age 89, of Carriere passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church, with Pastor Kerr Howell, Bro. Timothy Mims and Pastor Allen Hickman officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Monday, October 26th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Lou retired after teaching Special Education for many years at Southside Elementary School and was a member of Goodyear Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Cheryl Huffstickler of Carriere and Sue Johnston of Massachusetts; daughter-in-law, Harriet Reeves of Slidell, LA ;brother, Pete Harvey of Baton Rouge, LA ;seven grandchildren
ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Victor Clay and son, Jerry Reeves.
