Everett Earl Penton

August 20, 1930 — January 17, 2019

Everett Earl Penton of Carriere, Mississippi passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the age of 88.

Everett was a lifelong resident of Pearl River County. He was a Southern Dixie Rescue Ranger and a bricklayer. He was of the Baptist faith and attended Carriere First Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 in George Ford Cemetery, Carriere, Mississippi with Bro. Wesley Quave officiating.

Everett is survived by two brothers and three sisters: Ernest Penton of Pearl River, Louisiana;
Edmond Penton of Carriere,Mississippi; Estelle Penton Garretson, and Ester Smith of Poplarville,Mississippi and Eula Flemming of Picayune, Mississippi. A great nephew, James Penton, he raised as a son. Two great-great nieces Jerinna Evans and Jenesis Evans and one great-great nephew, Cainan Bates, all of Poplarville, Mississippi who were very special to him. His close friend and live in caretaker, Gary Kramer of McNeill,Mississippi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved him tremendously.

He is preceded in death by his parents William Alfred Penton and Irma Mitchell Penton.; six brothers and one sister.
