Frank G. Spiess, Jr. of Carriere, Mississippi passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the age of 80.
Memorial Services and Civil War Cannon Ceremony (cremains to be fired from cannon) will be held by the family at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his home at 242 Chalk Road, Carriere, Mississippi. A Pot Luck lunch will follow the service, visitors are invited to attend and bring a folding chair. Casual civilian attire please.
Frank was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda Spiess of Carriere, Mississippi; his step-children, Victoria Tuck of Carriere, Mississippi and Vanesssa Snodgrass of Hattiesburg, Mississippi; his children, Frank G. Spiess, III of Slidell, Louisiana and Deborah Henton of Mandeville, Louisiana; his two step-grandchildren, Morgan Samantha Modlin and David Modlin, Jr. and four grandchildren, Vivienne, Julia, Canon and Thomas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Col. Frank G. Spiess, Sr. and Leonora Blau Spiess; his late wife Sue Spiess and his sister Ann.
