Gilbert Elroy Hayden, age 87, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Saturday, August 16, 2014.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Wayne Wilson, Pastor Donald Bryan and Bishop Kenny Rizzuto officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Mr. Hayden was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Navy, a banker, and a member of Picayune United Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by sons, Danny Haden of California, and Ronnie Hayden of California; daughters, Donna Jean Strickland of Florida, Wanda Hayden of California, Sandra Hayden of California, and Kimberly Brothers of Picayune; sisters, Lana Owens of Kentucky, and Linda Wolf of Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Kelsie Brothers, and Colleen Brothers.
He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert Emanuel Hayden and Hazel Green Hayden Adams; wife, Barbara Irene Hayden; and sister, Edith Wratislaw.
