Glen Levell Dowdy, Sr., age 75, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
A memorial service will be held by the family to celebrate his life on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at Resurrection Life Ministries in Picayune, Mississippi.
Mr. Dowdy was in the concrete business for over 50 years, and was a native of West Monroe, Louisiana. He was a loving father, grandfather, and was a friend to many.
He is survived by his children, Tony Badalamenti, Gwendolyn "Ticka" Dowdy, Glen Dowdy Jr; grandchildren Amanda Delaune and her husband Stanley, Amy Dionian and her husband Jimmy, Erick Anthony and his wife Danyel, Melissa Smith and her husband, Michael, and Glen Dowdy III; great-grandchildren, Malachi, Makayla, Bethanie, Lexi, Finn, Brennen, Madison, and David; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Diane Dowdy; mother, Maude Dowdy; father, Earl Dowdy; brothers, Tommy Dowdy, Eugene Dowdy, Vernon Dowdy; sister, Earline Thomas; and his great-granddaughter, Hannah Delaune.
