Glenda Rae Harrison was born to Robert and Blanche Irby in Prichard, AL on Aug 25, 1945.
She was a beloved friend, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who lived life to the fullest. Glenda traveled all over the world with her husband of 60 years, Benjamin. No matter where they traveled, Glenda made friends wherever she went. She was the life of the party. Glenda was a devoted wife. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who so many lovingly referred to as “Nana”. Glenda also had an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Harmon and Blanche Mae Irby, and her siblings Norma Gayle Kahl, Betty Lynn Haskett, Robert Harmon Irby Jr. and John Forrest Irby.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Benjamin Stephen Harrison Sr., her children Benjamin “Steve” Harrison Jr. (Ann Marie), Lisa Johnson (Stanley), Robert “Bobby” Harrison (Danielle), grand children Shana Gauthier (David), Courtney Berel (Todd), Staci Barnes (Blake), Taylor Wells, Gabrielle Lally (Devin), Kaitlyn Berghman, Brady Harrison, Gage Harrison, Rylan Harrison, and great-grandchildren Talon Cipriano, Carson Barnes, Annabelle Gauthier, Claire Barnes, Brelyn Berel and Caroline Barnes. She is also survived by two honorary daughters Terri Williams (James) and Julie Makamson (Mick) as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her immensely.
Glenda Rae Harrison entered into God’s Kingdom in Heaven on April 10, 2024.

There will be a celebration of life service for Glenda Rae Harrison at Picayune Funeral Home in the chapel on May 4, 2024. Visitation will be held from 1-2 pm with a celebration service to follow.
