Gloria Faye Howell

Gloria Faye Smith Howell, beloved mother, wife and sister, passed away April 11, 2012 near her family in Ocala, FL. She fought a long battle with Myasthenia Gravis before succumbing to its affects. She was 81. Gloria was a longtime resident of Nicholson, MS. Gloria was retired from USGS at Stennis, a devoted and active member of Goodyear Baptist Church , Meals on Wheels, KOPS, TOPS, Eastern Star and ever a volunteer to those in need.

Surviving family members are her husband, O.H. Howell of Hoover, AL, a daughter, Lorrie Howell Tonnesen of Ocala, FL and a son Dustin Howell of Hoover, AL.Three grandchildren, Ashleigh, Ariel, and Austin Tonnesen. Three sisters, Jackie Smith, Anita Smith, and Teresa Smith.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clement Smith and Charlotte Reese.

Services will be at Picayune Funeral Home with visitation open to all at 10:00 a.m. and a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
