Herschel J. Pearson

Herschel J. Pearson, age 73, of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Gulfport, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held Monday, February, 24, 2014 from 11:00 a.m.. until Noon at Union Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon with Bro. Buddy Sheriff and Bro. Brian Tatum officiating. Burial will be at Pearson Cemetery under the direction of Picayune Funeral Home.
Herschel was a lifelong resident of Hancock County, a carpenter and a member of Union Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Letha Pearson of Carriere; two sons, Rodney W. Pearson of Carriere and Ricky J. (Samantha) Pearson of Slidell; two daughters, Dana (Craig) Perry of Lawton, Oklahoma and Tosha Bannister, of Carriere; one brother, Edward Earl Pearson; four sisters, Susie Weaver, Decater, Ann Jenkins of Biloxi, Vernice Delany of Ozona, and Georgia Lavigne of Carriere; fifteen grandchildren, son, Jameson (Nikki) Pearson of Virginia, and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers, R.W Pearson and Forrest Pearson.
