Iola Bellard Hobbins of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the age of 95.
Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Hixson- Sulphur Funeral Home, 2051 East Napoleon, Sulphur, Louisiana. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will be at Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly, Louisiana immediately following services.
She was a resident of Picayune for 22 years and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Lana Blackman of McNeill, Mississippi; her sisters, Patricia Lee Schneider (Joe) of Alexandria, Louisiana and Katherine Thibodeaux of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her grandchildren, Candice Saboe (Larry), Farrah Craft (Tim), Charity Romine and Amiee Williams; and her great-grandchildren, Cade and Hannah Romine; Blake, Brock and Brooks Craft; and Garrett, Wyatt and Bryson Williams.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin M. Hobbins; parents, Oralex Bellard and Edna Simon Bellard; sisters, Lillie Mae Powell, Alice Ogea and Violet Higgins; brothers, Harvey Bellard, Felix Bellard and Charles Bellard; and daughter, Gloria Jean Ryals.
