Irene Dawsey Farmer of Picayune, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 13, 2021, at the age of 76.
Irene was born in Gainesville, Mississippi and has lived in Picayune for 54 years. She worked as a computer operator at Stennis Space Center. She loved watching her grand kids and loved taking care of others.
She is survived by her daughters, Martha Michelle Rayner and Pamela McKean Frierson; six grandchildren: Kelli, Nathan, Brittany, Payton, Lindsey and Brooks; 11 great-grandchildren: Kayla, Joshua, Branden, Bayli, Cole, Adleigh, Amrie, Alexis, Colton, Colbi and Titan; one great-great-grandchild, Kayden; and her sister, Ruth Bonnaffons.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Rufus A. Dawsey and Martha Magnolia "Mag" Fleming Dawsey; Husband, James "Jimmy" Victor Farmer; brothers, Dan and Leonard Dawsey; sisters, Helen Lee and Bertie Thompson.
Memorial service will be Sunday, May 16, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
