Jackie Thompson Wheat, age 77, of Poplarville, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in Poplarville, Mississippi with Bro. Billy Smith officiating.
Mr. Wheat was a lifelong resident of Pearl River County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sheila Wheat of Poplarville, Mississippi; children, Glennis Scott Wheat (Jennifer) of Franklinton, Louisiana, Glyneice Wheat (Greg) of Lumberton, Mississippi, Michael Allen Wheat of Poplarville, Mississippi, Shannon Stewart (Priscilla) of Poplarville, Mississippi, Frankie Thomas (Steve) of Poplarville, Mississippi; Michael H. Jenkins of Gonzales, Louisiana; Penny Davis (Lester) of Wiggins, Mississippi; brother, Harold Lloyd Wheat of Poplarville, Mississippi; sister, Patricia Sauls (Charles) of Petal, Mississippi; 23 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Glennis Wheat and Onita Odom Wheat; brother, Elwyn Wheat and sister, Nita Faye Smith.
