James "Jimmy Ross" Bennett
James R. Bennett, age 77, of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday April 9, 2016. Mr. Bennett was a lifelong resident of Picayune, Mississippi and a member of Old Palestine Baptist Church in Nicholson, Mississippi.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 9, 2016, at his home at 29 Sam Powell Road Picayune, Mississippi.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Field Bennett, of Picayune, Mississippi, one son; James Matthew "V.B." Bennett, of Picayune, Mississippi, Four daughters; Melissa Bennett Nichols, of Birmingham, Alabama, Kimberly Ross`ann Bennett of Picayune, Mississippi, Vanessa L. Mitchell, of Picayune, Mississippi, Amanda Bennett Mitchell, of Birmingham, Alabama. One sister, Cindi Bennett Skaggs, of Slidell, Louisiana. Thirteen Grandchildren; and Seventeen Great Grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jim Cleveland Bennett, his mother, Mildred Elaine Bennett. One brother Connis J. Bennett Sr.; Two Grandchildren and One Great Grandchild.
