James E. Daniels, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 80 in Picayune, Mississippi. Born on September 2, 1944, in Salem, Mississippi, James lived a life filled with dedication, faith, and joy.

James was a Mill Wright at the test site and was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He was proud to be a member of Harmony Baptist Church for over 45 years, where he contributed to his community and nurtured his faith. His marriage to Diane Daniels lasted an impressive 55 years, a testament to their love and companionship.

He found great pleasure in the simple joys of life. James loved fishing and hunting, often spending weekends outdoors. He was a devoted football fan and took pride in rooting for The Saints, sharing many memorable moments watching games with family and friends.

James leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife, Diane Daniels; son, Jay Daniels (Kieshahn); daughter, Clarissa Daniels; sisters, Linda Mitchell (Mitch), Paulette Myers (Duck), and Shirley Stevens; grandson, Jason Daniels; and granddaughter, Kaye Daniels. He is dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Eugene Daniels and Eula Daniels; and sister Marie Varnado.

A memorial service to honor James will be held on Saturday March 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Harmony Baptist Church, located at 604 Ceasar Road, Picayune, MS
