James Dunaway, Sr.
We are saddened to announce the sudden passing of our beloved James Dunaway, Sr. on Tuesday April 18, 2023, at the age of 37.
James was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to Rita and Bobby Dunaway. Then later in life he settled in Slidell, Louisiana where he made his home with his kids and fiancé. He worked his way up in the petroleum industry for 15 years becoming a field service tech and he enjoyed what he did.
James was a loving father who was there every step of the way. He loved spending time with his family and friends. HE was a blessing to all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved fiancé, Lauren Smith; daughters, Isabella Orgeron, Khloe Echols, and Alexis Dunaway; son, James Dunaway, Jr; mother, Rita Dunaway; and sister, Christine DiBenedetto.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Dunaway.
He will always live in our hearts.
Graveside Memorial Service will be held by family, 2:00 p.m. Sunday May 7, 2023, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery 2618 Hwy 43 South, Picayune, MS 39466.
