James Hurlen Frierson

James Hurlen "Shorty" Frierson age 92, of Picayune, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2016 in Poplarville, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Rice officiating.
"Shorty" worked for Thigpen Hardware for many years, where he sold household appliances and farm equipment for International Harvester. Shorty stood behind everything he sold. He was fondly remembered as "Maytag Shorty Frierson."
He is survived by his son; Kenneth Ray Frierson, Sr. of Picayune, Mississippi, sister; Barbara Ann Smith, of Poplarville, Mississippi. Two Grandchildren and Three Great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dot" Dillard Frierson, his parents Rollie and Mattie Frierson, two sons; Robert E. Frierson and Larry Frierson, brothers; Charles Frierson, Hulen Frierson, and Bobby Frierson. One sister; Betty Jean Smith.
