Janet Gardner lost her battle with cancer on Saturday evening of September 9, 2023. She was 67.
She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on August 7, 1956, the daughter of the late Eunice Denton Porter and the late William Samuel Porter.
She is survived by her Two children, son Joseph Reed, daughter Janet Reed Francis, 4 grandchildren Misty Porter, Sabrina Wingo, Noel Wingo, John Altice (Bubba),13 great grandkids, her two sisters Navata Brink and Annie Grim, husband Frederick Gardner, ex-husband John Reed, special cousin Linda Denton Sturmer, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers Alvin Porter, Jack Porter and 2 sisters Vanessa Hinkley, and her twin Janice Blevins.
Everyone knew Janet Gardner as Ma, she loved her entire family including friends dearly, she loved music, crafts and loved giving to others. It's the little things that she loved as she would also say it's the little things that matter the most. May she rest in peace.
