Janice Marie "Janabelle" Bohon Dawsey

Janice Marie “Janabelle” Bohon Dawsey of Picayune, Mississippi gained her angel wings Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the age of 67, in the comfort of her home surrounded by family.

Jan originated from Texarkana, Texas. She settled in Mississippi where she Married the love of her life, Rodney Dawsey and started her beautiful family. Jan was a free spirited woman and a force to be reckoned with, especially in her earlier years. Family meant the world to her. She loved her family, children, and grandchildren. The Lord granted her wings, and she was able to fly free of pain once more. She was loved and will be deeply missed by many.

Left to cherish her Memories is her husband of thirty-nine years, Rodney Dawsey; her children, David Tyree (Michelle), Summer Delk (Matt), and Zachary Dawsey (Mallory); sisters, Marion Sartin, Annette Shaw, and Sharion Smith; grandchildren, Bradley (Katherine), Brayden (Chelsea), Lilli, Baylie, Eli, Autumn, and Jocelyn; Several nieces and nephews that she adored; and several bonus kids she loved like hers.

She is preceded by her parents, James Marion Bohon and Billie Drew Turner Bohon; one angel baby, Little Johnny; and siblings, Merlin, Jimmy, Joe, Mary, Shirley, Norma, and Billie.

A Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday March 26, 2024, with visitation starting at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In honor of Jan, everyone is encouraged to wear something Yellow.
