Jeremy Wayne Rester, a cherished husband, devoted father, and beloved friend, passed away on April 17, 2025, at the age of 48. Born on August 3, 1976, in Bogalusa, Louisiana, Jeremy's journey through life was profoundly shaped by the beautiful landscapes of Mississippi, where he grew up in Sumrall and later spent the majority of his adult years in Carriere.
A man of unwavering devotion, Jeremy found his greatest joy in his family. He was a devoted husband to Jessica Rester, with whom he shared a profound love that served as a cornerstone for their family. Jeremy was not only a partner but also a nurturing and supportive father to his sons, Jacob Rester, Micaiah Rester, and Gracen Rester, and to his daughter, Jolene Wilson, who he loved dearly alongside her husband, Bradley. Jeremy's heart overflowed with love for his grandbaby, Bentley Wilson, who brought him endless joy and laughter.
Beyond his dedication to family, Jeremy had a passion for the great outdoors. He found peace and solace in fishing, enjoying the quiet moments that allowed him to connect with nature. His playful spirit and infectious laughter will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the honor to know him.
Jeremy leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried on by his family. He is survived by his father, Charles Rester, his mother, Sharon Rester, and his sister, Valerie Saundry (Joseph). In addition, a host of family and friends will deeply mourn his absence, cherishing the many memories they hold close to their hearts.
As we remember Jeremy, let us celebrate the life he led, filled with love, laughter, and a spirit that touched everyone around him. His memory will forever live on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love passed down through generations. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
