Joey Phillip Moran, age 48, of Kiln, MS passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his residence.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Reeves. Burial will be at Bayou Coco Cemetery.
Joey was a lifetime resident of Hancock County, a member of Annunciation Catholic Church and a former law enforcement officer with MDOT and retiree of DMR.
He is survived by his parents Oswald L. "Sonny" Moran, Jr. and Mary Louise Necaise Moran of Picayune; one daughter, Kayla Moran (Rayme) Lee of Picayune; one brother, Jeffrey (Sissy) Moran of Kiln; two sisters, Kathy (Michael) Hendry of Wiggins and Dana (Hank) Spiers of Poplarville; one grandson, Roland R. "Lando" Lee IV.
He is preceded in death by one daughter, Devon Moran; sister, Carol Barnett; former wife Dawn Heitzmann Moran.
