John William Ellis

John Willam Ellis (83) of Picayune, Mississippi went into eternal rest on Monday October 7, 2024.

John was born in Arkansas on January 31, 1941, to parents Don Ellis and Lorene Bradshaw Ellis. A car salesman, and entrepreneur, he enjoyed spending his time woodworking, hunting, fishing, painting, playing music, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, proud father, and doting grandfather and will be missed dearly.

John is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Brenda Faye Ellis, father Don Ellis, and mother Lorene Bradshaw Ellis.

John’s memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 7 years Fannie Ellis, son Greg Ellis (Ronnie), daughters Karen Theel, Lorie Hale (Jeff), stepdaughters Christi Rome (Butch), Erin Simmons, brother Paul Ellis (Theresa), sisters Norma Jean Harvey (Eddie), Donna Blacklaw (Herbert), grandchildren Devin Theel, Breanna Theel, Justin Hale, Jeffrey Hale, Hannah Harp, step grandchildren Amanda Rome, Madelyn Rome, Jade Hartfield, great grandchildren Ellie Mae Hale, Maverick Harp, step great grandchildren Charleigh Hartfield, and Ella Hartfield.

A memorial service for John will be held on Saturday October 12, 2024 at 2PM at Picayune Funeral Home located at 815 S. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466.

Visitation will begin at 1PM.
