John William Ferguson, Jr. of Picayune, Mississippi passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at the age of 87.
John was a resident of Picayune, Mississippi since nineteen ninety-eight coming from Wisner, Louisiana. He was a veteran of the US Army, and a Deacon and member of Believers Church of Picayune, Mississippi. He enjoyed being outdoors in his vegetable garden, mowing the yard and loved his dog Coco.
He is Survived by his wife of forty-five years, Janet Marie Ferguson, of Picayune, Mississippi; three son, Danny Ferguson of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, John Malcolm of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and James Buchert, of Carriere, Mississippi; three daughters, Yvonne Lofton of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, JoAnn Vinci of Missouri, and Jena Thompson, of Carriere, Mississippi; one brother, Robert Wayne Ferguson of Meghee, Arkansas; two sisters, Faye Calhoun of Wisner, Louisiana and Bobbie Kimble of Ft. Worth, Texas; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John William Ferguson, Sr. and Eva Gulliot; one sister, Audrey Jones.
A Memorial Service will be held by family at a later date.
