John Joseph Moore, Sr., age 66, of Picayune passed away, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at his residence.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Picayune on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 12:00 noon with Father Mike Snyder officiating. Burial will be Monday, March 5, 2012 at St. Rock #1 Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana.
John was a veteran of the Louisiana Army National Guard where he served as a Sergeant and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Picayune.
He is survived by his wife, Danna Moore of Picayune, Mississippi; Two sons, Bernard John Moore of Picayune, Mississippi and John Joseph Moore, Jr. of Picayune, Mississippi; Two daughters, Tara Moore Shepard of Carriere and Aubrey Borrouso Moore of Picayune; Two brothers, Edward J. Moore, Jr. of Louisiana and James E. Moore of Louisiana; Three sisters, Dorothy M. Mipro of Louisiana, Irene Moore Hallal of Louisiana and Anita Moore Stephens of Picayune; Two grandchildren, Hunter Unbehagen and Jaxson Moore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. Moore, Sr. and Elvera P. Moore; One sister, Barbara Moore Turnbull.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Picayune Elementary School Tuition Fund.
