John Ivan Rush

John Ivan Rush of Picayune, Mississippi, passed away at the age of 76 on Monday, May 17, 2021 in the comfort of his home.
John was a long-time resident of Picayune and a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of George Ford Baptist Church and a meat cutter at Sun Flower Grocery for thirty-three years. He also was a truck driver for over ten years and was able to travel all over the US and Canada. John will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Rush; sons, Billy John Rush (Andrea) and James Winston Rush (Brenda); daughter, Tammy A. George (Michael); eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Dolly Rush; and siblings.
Service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday May 27th, 2021 at George Ford Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
