John Fredrick Smith, Sr., age 48, of Carriere, MS passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 in Kiln, MS.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 27, 2011 from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow with Bro. Larry Gonzalez and Bro. Vincent Frisella officiating. Burial will be at George Ford Cemetery in Carriere, MS.
John was a life time resident of Pearl River County, a mechanic and a Baptist.
He is survived by his mother, Edna Penton Moody; his wife Anita Smith; three sons, John Smith, Jr. of Picayune, Phillip Smith of Carriere and Richard Smith of Carriere; two daughters, Ashley Adams of Picayune and Brittany Dillard of Picayune; one brother Dennis Smith of Carriere; two sisters Debra Salazar of South Haven, MS and Kathy Rogers of Vernon, Alabama; seven grandchildren; two step-brothers Franklin Moody, Jr. of Picayune and William Moody of Leetown; one step-sister Evelyn Coleman of Leetown; mother in law, Louise Mendez.
