John Pierce Smith of Picayune, Mississippi departed this life into the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family.
Johnny was a native to Picayune, and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He served the Lord as a Baptist Minister for the past thirty-two years.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Rosemary Famularo Smith; son, David Smith (Layla); daughter, Maryann Palmer; brother, Earl Smith; sisters, O'Jean Volking, and Kay Turnage; grandchildren: Mandy Mitchell (Boyd), Ashley Nguyen (Tuan), Glenn Mason (Erica), Brittany Smith, Emma Smith, Bekah Smith, and Amelia Smith; great-grandchildren: Bradley Tyree, Brayden Tyree, Lilli Mitchell, Owen Nguyen, Ella Nguyen, Adley Nguyen, Jaidyn Mason, Jordyn Mason, Sophia Mason, Luken Arnold, Kenny Belsome, Anistyn Head, and Kainan Head.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Horatio Smith and Althea Lisenbea Smith; son, James Pierce Smith; and sister, Glenda Cain.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Benville Baptist Church.
