John L. Stockstill

John L. Stockstill, Jr., age 62, of McNeill, Mississippi passed away peacefully in his home, after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 3:00p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel. Family requests that his friends gather at the V.F.W. immediately following the service.
Mr. Stockstill was a lifetime resident of Pearl River County, and a Carpenter. He worked for many years with his nephew Clay Stockstill.
He is survived by his life partner Kathy Shaw of McNeill; one son, Jonathan Stockstill of Kiln; one daughter Rachel C. Neal and her husband Glen of Slidell, Louisiana; one step-son, Jeffrey Shaw and his wife Nicole of Carriere; two brothers, Terry Stockstill and his life partner Lisa of Picayune, and Julian Stockstill and his wife Pat of McNeill; two sisters, Dale Rouse of Bay St. Louis, and Lana Rosine and her husband Bob of McNeill; 6 grandchildren, Whitney Neal, Braden Neal, Taylor Toland, Carter Necaise, Jeffrey Shaw, and Jade Shaw;and one sister-in-law, Barbara Lynn Stockstill.
He is preceded in death by his parents John L. Stockstill, Sr. and Marjorie "Margie" Smith Stockstill; one brother, Marion "Bud" Stockstill.
