John Thomas Tucker, age 67, of Carriere, Mississippi, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Picayune Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Picayune Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Johnson officiating.
Mr. Tucker was born February 23, 1946 in Hendersonville, North Carolina to John Thomas (Jack) Tucker and Lalage Grigg Tucker. Mr. Tucker was a graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Mr. Tucker was a resident of Pearl River County for nineteen years, owner of Tucker Timber Harvesting, a truck driver and a member of Roseland Park Baptist Church. Mr. Tucker was an avid fisherman, an Eagle Scout, and enjoyed participating in Boy Scout outings.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ramona Burnett Tucker of Carriere; son, John Thomas (Jack) Tucker and wife Kelly Cook Tucker of Lafayette, Louisiana; sister, Margaret Tucker Puckett and husband Dr. James B. Puckett of Asheville, North Carolina; and one granddaughter, Annabelle Lee Tucker. Also surviving are step-brothers John S. Freeman of Charlotte, North Carolina and Thomas G. Freeman and wife Connie of Morganton, North Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Thomas Tucker and Lalage Grigg Tucker, and daughter Laura Lee Tucker.
