Joseph C. Chauvin (57) passed away December, 30th 2023.
A resident of Picayune, MS, and native of New Orleans (Algiers), Joe spent his adult life proudly working for the city of Gretna, and the Plaquemines Parish School Board as a computer tech.

Joe graduated high school from the now defunct St. John Vianney School, and was a long time member of the Knights of Columbus.

The family gives a special thank you to Corrie Penton RN, Donald Baer OT, and Lisa Guillory PT of Forrest General Home Health Care, Gavin Mayo of MedCentris Wound Healing Institute, and the doctors, nurses, and staff at Merit Health Wesley ICU.

Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Herman Chauvin, Carmen DiMarco Chauvin, sister Melissa Bartholomew, and stepson Ryan.

Joseph is survived by his companion and caretaker Selena Lachney, step children Joanna, Kenneth Jr., Austin, Marissa, Elena, Malorie, William, Matthew, godparents Nanette Goff, Hamilton Chauvin, a host of cousins, relatives, friends, a host of Selena's grandchildren, and his beloved dog Blu.

A Christian Funeral Service will be held at Picayune Funeral Home on Friday January 5th, 2024 12PM . Visitation will be from 10AM-12PM.
Cremation to follow.
