Joseph Jack "Jake" Schumacher of Carriere, Mississippi passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the age of 40.
Jake was born August 15, 1979 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He served five and a half years as a US Naval Doctor and Dental Technician. After his service, he was a Picayune Police Officer. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He spent most of his free time fishing, working in the yard and spending time outdoors. Jake will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Missi; two sons, Jacob Baumgartner of McComb, Mississippi and Zachary Baumgartner, currently stationed overseas; one daughter, Breeanna Baumgartner of Brandon, Mississippi; daughter in laws, Samantha and Meghan; his mother, Regina Gillmer and step father Ray Gillmer; five sisters, Goldie Schumacher, Leaza Schumacher, Stephanie Gillmer Woodward, Christina Gillmer Matz, and Amanda Gillmer Wilson; one granddaughter, Ainsleigh Baumgartner; two grandsons, Elliot Baumgartner and Levi Baumgartner , all from McComb, Mississippi; multiple nieces and nephews and a host of cousins; two best friends, Brad Prescott and Travis Dupuy.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Private Memorial Services will be held at a later Date.
