Joseph Purvis Simon, Sr. of Picayune, Mississippi passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the age of 55.

Joseph was a lifelong resident of Pearl River County and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his children, Joseph P. Simon, Jr. of Poplarville, Mississippi and Elizebeth Noel Sullivan of Carriere, Mississippi; his mother, Evelyn Murphy of Carriere, Mississippi; brothers, John Simon of Poplarville, Mississippi, Ronnie Deese of Missouri; Mark Simon of McNeill, Mississippi; sister, Debra Deese (John Bourdannay) of Picayune, Mississippi; four grandchildren, Ethan Sullivan, Preston Simon, Kellsen Sullivan & Bentley Gault.
He is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Simon.
Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
